Our programming
The CR Smith Museum offers various educational programs for kids grades K-12 in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. The Museum also collaborates with teachers to bring sessions to the classroom. For more information, reach out to education@crsmithmuseum.org.
Enhance your Museum visit!
During your next visit, visitors ages K-12 can participate in the Museum Monthly Passport Challenge and earn stamps in your free passport. Once you receive 10 stamps, turn in your passport and win a prize! Eligible activities include:
- Flight simulators
- Aviation Exploration Zone activities
- AirCRAFT
- Camps and workshops

Aviation STEM Summer Camp
The American Airlines CR Smith Museum’s award-winning Aviation STEM Summer Camp is tailored for for students in third to 10th grade. Note: Premium, Business, First and Admiral members access early and discounted registration.
AirCRAFT
Fostering the next generation of inventors, builders and dreamers starts early at the Museum. AirCRAFT activities are designed to help children ages four to 10 years old develop important capabilities by combining science, technology engineering, mathematics and… art! AirCRAFT is hosted the second Saturday of each month from 1 to 3 p.m.
Workshops
The Museum can host a private STEM aviation workshop for your group visit. The workshop focuses on using engineering principals and discusses the forces and foundations of flight. Each lesson is adapted based on the ages and grades in the group. Complete the inquiry form to learn more details.
Recent awards
In 2021, the Museum and its Director of Education, Marie Eve Poirier-Harris, were awarded the Million Women Mentors – Texas Stand Up for STEM Educational Organization and Educator awards for their commitment to empowering young girls to pursue STEM careers through its programming.
