Aviation salt painting | arts and crafts
Sat, September 9 | 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Did you know the first reported use of any sort of art on an aircraft was in 1913 when an Italian boat plane was seen sporting a sea monster on its fuselage? Join us one hundred ten years after the first aircraft was painted on Saturday, September 9th, for airCRAFT where you will design and make Aviation Salt Paintings. Plan your visit in advance by purchasing Museum tickets online.
About airCRAFT workshops at the Museum
Fostering the next generation of inventors, builders, and dreamers starts early at the Museum. AirCRAFT is an in-gallery education program that works to expose children four to 10 years old to STEM concepts through arts and crafts. Participation in airCRAFT is included with your admission to the Museum and free for members. AirCRAFT is hosted the second Saturday of each month from 1 to 3 p.m. in the gallery.
