Eagle Aviation Camps

Thank you for a great summer of Eagle Aviation Camps. Below is a list of our 2017 camp offerings. 2018 camp schedule and information will be posted at a later date. We will open 2018 camp registration in February 2018.

Flight Adventure Camp (entering 3rd-4th grade)
Campers get ready for an adventure through flight! Our youngest eagle aviation campers will be introduced to the world of aviation, the science behind flight and learn what it takes to fly. Campers GET HANDS-ON with design challenges, flight simulators and activities that test flight. Activities include designing satellites, gliders, parachutes, flying gizmos, communication networks, beginner flight simulations and more! Meet the pros that go behind the scenes at American Airlines to learn more how airlines run.

Eagle Aviation Camp Beginner (entering 5th-7th grade): 
Do you think you have what it takes? Eagle Aviation Camp explores what is involved in an airlines and the aviation industry! Get HANDS ON with STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) workshops on engineering, flight simulations, rocketry and more! Learn from the pros at American Airlines how the airline operates. EXPERIENCE behind the scenes tours of major aviation facilities including American Airlines training centers, DFW Airport, CAE Simuflite and Founders Plaza.

Eagle Aviation Camp Advanced (entering 7th-9th grade):
Dive deeper into aviation! Eagle Aviation Advanced campers will participate in advanced workshops and lessons on airplane design, engineering, flight planning, beginner and advanced flight simulations, building a brand, airliner operations and more! Learn from people at American Airlines and other industry leaders how airlines operate. Go behind the scenes of American Airlines training, DFW Airport facilities, CAE Simuflite and more!

NEW Eagle Aviation Modelers/Drone Camp (entering 6th-8th grade): 
HANDS ON STEM CAMP. Fly beginner DRONES and assemble and fly a REMOTE CONTROL PLANE! Campers will get hands on with STEM activities that teach the mechanics of flight, practice flight with remote control plane and drone flight simulations and participate in demonstrations from Dallas FPV pros. Campers will take field trips to flying fields and other industry locations to test flight remote control planes, learn about future careers in drones and watch drone races!

General Information:
**Camps must have at least 14 registrations to be held.

Our camps are a great opportunity for your child to experience a one-of-a-kind adventure into the world of aviation. Below is general information about the week:

  • No prior camp attendance or aviation knowledge is required to attend any of our summer camps.
  • Camp begins at 9am and ends at 4pm. The Museum offers extended hours from 8am to 9am and from 4pm to 5pm, for an additional fee.
  • Parents/students are responsible for transportation each day to and from the C.R. Smith Museum. The Museum will provide transportation to and from field trip sites as applicable.
  • The Museum will provide morning and afternoon snacks and bottled water. Campers will be responsible for bringing their own lunch.
  • Registration includes an Eagle Aviation T-shirt and goodie bag.
